Without enough iodine, the thyroid simply cannot function optimally.<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the UK and across Europe, iodine intake can be borderline, especially in women who eat a very \u201cclean\u201d diet, avoid processed foods, or use little iodised salt.<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Good dietary sources include sea fish, dairy products and eggs \u2014 but in everyday life, intake is often lower than expected.<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this situation, supporting the body with the right nutrients can make a meaningful difference.
