Bei der Hashimoto-Thyreoiditis handelt es sich um eine Form der chronischen Autoimmunthyreoiditis. Darunter versteht man eine autoimmune Erkrankung der Schilddr\u00fcse (Thyreoidea), bei der der K\u00f6rper Autoantik\u00f6rper gegen gesunde Schilddr\u00fcsenzellen bildet, sodass diese angegriffen und zerst\u00f6rt werden. Die Folge ist ein Absinken der Hormonproduktion der Schilddr\u00fcse (Schilddr\u00fcsenunterfunktion = Hypothyreose).<\/p>

Benannt wurde die Erkrankung nach dem japanischen Arzt Hakaru Hashimoto (1881\u20131934), der sie 1912 als erster beschrieb. Die Hashimoto Thyreoiditis ist nicht nur eine der h\u00e4ufigsten Autoimmunerkrankungen des Menschen \u00fcberhaupt, sondern auch die h\u00e4ufigste Ursache der prim\u00e4ren Schilddr\u00fcsenunterfunktion.<\/p>

Bei der etwas selteneren Basedow-Thyreoiditis hingegen richten sich Autoantik\u00f6rper gegen ein Signalmolek\u00fcl auf der Oberfl\u00e4che der Schilddr\u00fcsenzellen, was diese zun\u00e4chst meist zu einer \u00fcberschie\u00dfenden Hormonproduktion veranlasst (Schilddr\u00fcsen\u00fcberfunktion = Hyperthyreose). Langfristig kommt es bei den betroffenen Patientinnen aber auch hier h\u00e4ufig zu einer Schilddr\u00fcsenunterfunktion.<\/p>

Eingeschr\u00e4nkte Fruchtbarkeit<\/strong><\/p>

Die gest\u00f6rte Hormonproduktion der Schilddr\u00fcse beeintr\u00e4chtigt die Fruchtbarkeit: Patientinnen erleben h\u00e4ufig, dass eine nat\u00fcrliche Empf\u00e4ngnis erschwert ist. Auch das Risiko einer Fehlgeburt ist bei einer Autoimmunerkrankung der Schilddr\u00fcse leider deutlich erh\u00f6ht. Eine Behandlung durch einen spezialisierten Arzt kann in vielen F\u00e4llen gl\u00fccklicherweise dennoch eine gesunde Schwangerschaft erm\u00f6glichen.<\/p>

Die Patientin kann die Therapie unterst\u00fctzen<\/strong><\/p>

Auch die Patientin selbst kann einiges zum Erfolg einer Kinderwunschtherapie beitragen. Neben einer gesunden Lebensf\u00fchrung kann n\u00e4mlich auch eine krankheitsangemessene Ern\u00e4hrung den Krankheitsverlauf und die Fruchtbarkeit positiv beeinflussen.<\/p>

Jodarme Ern\u00e4hrung<\/strong><\/p>

Eine \u00fcberm\u00e4\u00dfige Jodbelastung beschleunigt wissenschaftlichen Untersuchungen zufolge h\u00e4ufig den Krankheitsverlauf, w\u00e4hrend von einer Verbesserung bei jodarmer Ern\u00e4hrung berichtet wird. Daher sollten Patientinnen mit aktiver Autoimmunthyreoiditis auf jodiertes Speisesalz verzichten und auch bei der Einnahme von Nahrungserg\u00e4nzungsmitteln ist darauf zu achten, dass diese kein zus\u00e4tzliches Jod enthalten.<\/p>

Selen<\/strong><\/p>

Die B\u00f6den in Europa sind sehr selenarm, sodass in den Pflanzen, die auf diesen B\u00f6den wachsen, und damit auch in der Nahrung, nur wenig Selen vorhanden ist. Studien belegen, dass eine t\u00e4gliche Seleneinnahme eine Verbesserung der Beschwerden bewirken kann.<\/p>

Oxidativer Stress und Antioxidantien<\/strong><\/p>

Auch wenn die Ursachen f\u00fcr das Auftreten einer Autoimmunthyreoiditis nicht klar sind, so wird immer deutlicher, dass oxidativer Stress an der Krankheitsentstehung zumindest mitbeteiligt ist. Da oxidative Sch\u00e4digungen gleichzeitig auch die Eizellqualit\u00e4t, die fr\u00fche Embryonalentwicklung und sogar die Einnistung des fr\u00fchen Embryos beeintr\u00e4chtigen, raten Experten, auf eine ausreichende Versorgung mit Antioxidantien zu achten.<\/p>

Unter Stress, bei Rauchern oder bei schlechten Ern\u00e4hrungsgewohnheiten kann eine zus\u00e4tzliche Versorgung \u00fcber entsprechende Pr\u00e4parate sinnvoll sein und die Erkrankung in ihrem Verlauf positiv beeinflussen.<\/p>

B-Vitamine<\/strong><\/p>

Patienten mit Autoimmunthyreoiditis haben auch ein erh\u00f6htes Risiko f\u00fcr einen Vitamin B12-Mangel. Dies ist problematisch, da Vitamin B12 neben seiner Bedeutung f\u00fcr die Zellteilung zusammen mit anderen Vitaminen der B-Gruppe unentbehrlich f\u00fcr die Regulation des Homocysteinstoffwechsels ist.
